THANK you very much for your support, kind words, and generous donations! We have reached and smashed our funding target! Moormead Community & Sports Pavilion can now afford to prepare all the documents for a Planning Application which it expects to submit this September.

Donations from our community, however small, are vital to show local support. Potential large ‘funders’ are more likely to donate if they can see that our campaign is supported – so, if you live in a household with more than one adult, then please make smaller donations rather than one big one.

The new pavilion will serve residents within a 20-minute walk of Moormead Park, and we are actively encouraging use by local schools, churches, sports organisations and community service providers. We want to support existing park users as well as enable usage by members of the community that have not been able to use the park due to a disability or lack of facilities.

The pavilion café will provide toilet facilities for users of the park during opening hours; it will not apply for a licence to sell alcohol. There will also be equipment storage facilities to support junior sports organisations. The pavilion will support St Margaret’s Fair on Fair Day.

The money raised here will kick-start the project enabling us to get the required surveys and plans completed, working towards gaining consent from the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, the Planning Department and other stakeholders. After securing planning consent, we will then continue to raise funds from the local community and apply for grants from organisations such as London Marathon Charitable Trust, Sport England Community Investment Fund, Big Lottery Fund and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

See the plans for the new pavilion on our website e-voice.org.uk/mmp/plans

In the event that we are unable to proceed with the new pavilion, all money raised will be used according to our charitable objectives

If you choose to donate through an affiliation, please read Richmond Council’s Pitch Use Terms & Conditions

We have reached our target!

We have been overwhelmed with the support and donations from the local community for this project! It’s amazing to have reached our target with more than 10 days to go.
We remain open for business though, as every donation and additional supporter will help us reach our overall goal of restoring the pavillion. So any money raised over and above our initial requirement will just be carried over into the next phase of the project .

A huge THANK YOU to everyone of our supporters
