Martin Mcdonald and I are paddling down the 126 miles (approx) of the Thames. We are raising awareness of events in South West London in #LoveParksWeek as well as raising a a bit of money for SWLEN. A list of these can be viewed on our What’s On. We’ll be staying overnight in Swindon before set off at 9am Saturday 15th July aiming to arrive at Richmond Bridge 7 days later on Friday 21st July.
I’ve had a passion for nature from an early age, walking about nature reserves, encouraging my friends to help me clear up my local park as well as building and putting up bird boxes in the park and feeding the birds, all supported by my family. At the age of 27 I settled on a career change into the environmental charity sector, eventually working for South West London Environment Network, who i’m raising funds for.
There is something very magical about moving quietly through nature whilst not disturbing it.
