This is a regular drop-in session for those who want to improve their skills and meet fellow gardeners while helping restore Strawberry Hill House gardens to their original picturesque design.

When: Every Tuesday from 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Where: Strawberry Hill House Garden, 268 Waldegrave Road,
Twickenham, TW1 4ST

Meet at the community garden or in the poly-tunnel if wet.  Tasks involve watering, seed sowing, pruning and helping to prepare materials. Volunteers can enjoy a break with tea and biscuits

Join Friends of Barnes Common’s  on most Wednesdays from 9.00 to 12.30pm for the chance to get outdoors, meet new people and make a real difference to your local greenspace

Tasks are quite likely to change to meet weather conditions, numbers of volunteers and other more urgent work commitments that may arise.

Please always CHECK HERE before setting off for the most recent updates, where to meet and any changes due to weather.

Dress for mess! with good protection against arms or legs getting scratched. Footwear should be appropriate to the task, ideally reinforced boots or as sturdy possible. Protective equipment suitable for the task is provided and must be worn if advised. Safety training/familiarisation with tasks and tools is provided at the start of each session.

Come along every Wednesday mornings from 10.00 am to 12.30pm

The morning is led by an experienced gardener Joy Lee, with a small and friendly group. The sessions always happen unless the weather is very wet.
