Our current financial system has left us with the highest personal debt in history, unaffordable housing, worsening inequality, high unemployment and banks that are subsidised and underwritten with taxpayers’ money. We believe that these problems have a common root: money. If we want to deal with the big social, economic and environmental challenges that we’re facing today, we should start by fixing money.
Positive Money is a movement for a money and banking system that works for society and not against it. They are campaigning for the power to create money to be used in the public interest, in a democratic, transparent and accountable way, rather than by the same banks that caused the financial crisis.
