Every First Saturday of the month, meet at the Pond from 10 am until 11 am and help Ham and Petersham Association look after this wonderful green space
For hundreds of years, Ham Pond played a vital part in village life as a drinking place for the sheep and cattle on the common. Today the pond has new roles as a place for calm public enjoyment, a wildlife haven.
The Pond is cared for by the Ham Pond Group, supported by the Ham and Petersham Association, and working in collaboration with Richmond Council, since it was formed to look after the pond in 2000.
Vanessa Fison organises regular monthly tidy-ups around the Pond on Saturday mornings. If you would like to lend a hand and join her rota, please email Vanessa.
Bring gloves with you – all welcome – meet new people while you help clean up around the pond.
