What’s On

There are lots of fantastic environmental events happening locally every week including talks, walks and ad-hoc volunteering on conservation work parties/days and gardening activities. Please contact the event organisers for further information.

Use the ‘categories’ to select the type of activity and the ‘Tags’ for the specific themes i.e. Friendly Parks for All, a programme of activities for people with dementia and their carers.

Join the volunteer gardeners at Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham, to help look after the gardens and woodland grounds.

When: Wednesday mornings from 9.45am to 12.30pm

Where: Orleans House Garden, Orleans House on Twickenham Riverside.

The morning is led by an experienced gardener Joy Lee, with a small and friendly group. The sessions always happen unless the weather is very wet.

Friends of School House Lane Orchard Work Morning
Jul 1 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join the Friends of School House Lane Orchards  for a workday. The Group needs as much help as possible with conservation activities and everyone, whatever their age or experience are invited to come and join in. It’s fun, rewarding and a good chance to catch up with the neighbours!

When: Meet on every first Saturday of the month at 10am. Please contact David at david.harnden@btinternet.com as if the weather is too bad the session could be moved to Sunday instead.

Where: School House Lane Orchard

When: Every Tuesday from 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Where: Strawberry Hill House Garden, 268 Waldegrave Road,
Twickenham, TW1 4ST

Meet at the community garden or in the poly-tunnel if wet.  Tasks involve watering, seed sowing, pruning and helping to prepare materials. Volunteers can enjoy a break with tea and biscuits

Community Gardening Session at Landmark Arts Center, Teddington
Jul 8 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Join a small group of volunteers to help look after the garden at Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington.

The centre will be open for the Floral Art expo with tea/coffee and cake for the volunteers.

The work being carried out is leading to re- establishing the pathway through the ‘wilderness’ area and making that area more user friendly for all to enjoy.

The sessions start at 10am until around 1pm
